Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Kannon Burroughs, QB at Green Hill HS. Kannon played an outstanding game, he went 10-14 passing 172 yards 3 TD's + 56 yards rushing with a TD. Green Hill defeated Mt Juliet to clinch the Mayor's Cup 2023 35-3. Green Hill went 3-0 this season playing teams inside WIlson county. Green Hill plays Riverdale this Friday for the 1st round of the playoffs.
