Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Keshawn Tareleton, quarterback at Pearl Cohn HS. Keshawn and the Pearl Cohn offense was unstoppable. Keshawn went 9-11 passing 192 yards with 4 TD's. Pearl Cohn defeated White House 56-6 and moved to 9-0 on the season. With Pearl Cohn defeating MBA & CPA earlier in the season, this year feels special for the Pearl Cohn program. Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Michael Robinson #25 at Smyrna High School. Michael Robinson was extremely clutch last Friday night against Stewarts Creek. Michael caught the game winning touchdown pass and ended the hopes of Stewarts Creek, with a game ending interception. Smyrna defeated Stewarts Creek 19-18. The Smyrna Bulldogs stay undefeated all time against Stewarts Creek. The MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is presented by Jackson Boone Racing. 

Our MidState Checkdown HS Football "Player of the Week" is Luke Mcneilly QB #8 at Independence HS. Luke Mcneilly is a senior at Independence high school. Independence defeated Fairview 31-7 on their homecoming night. Luke Mcneilly finished the game with a 95.8 passer rating, 4-8 passing 102 yards and 10 carries with 95 yards and a touchdown. With their second win in a row Independence moves to 2-1 in the district and 5-3 overall. The next game for Independence will be on the road as they travel to Brentwood high school on October 20th 7:00pm.
